What the fee desk gets
The school sets fee heads on the class for the session. Each student carries those dues. At the counter the accountant selects what is being paid, records the amount received, and prints a receipt. Anything still unpaid stays as remaining due on that student.

At the counter

After the day
Today’s collection is the sum of receipts that are still valid. A voided receipt drops out of that day’s total so the dashboard matches the counter.
